Arasha, Ecuador

Arasha is a resort in the middle

of a Tropical Rain Forest

If we were to return to one resort location
it would be Arasha

A "HOT SPOT" of the World



Complete with a pool



 Check out it's location



There are lots of activities



This has to be the most beautiful
minature golf course in the world



If you hungry,
you  just  pick some fruit right off the tree

 one bad thing...
it's a really hard place to find your golf ball



Hiking was exceptional
(the rubber boots, the guide said, where for protection from snakes)
I think that must have been a Joke

The resort is surrounded by jungle
or should I say Tropical Forest



Fruit grows wild
bananas, coconut, papaya, mangoes

and cacao seeds (chocolate)




Hey Jane....Where's Tarzan




Or is it Eve, in the Garden of Eden




There were strange, large birds in the Forest

We preferred swimming in nature's pools



We were really getting into the swing of things

 

 Robert cut sugar cane out of the Forest (Jungle)
I helped the guide "press" the cane into syrup

 

A cool refreshing drink was then made out of it




The noises on our night time hikes were scary



The cuisine was gourmet and always healthy



In Arasha we felt like a King and a Queen



What a great place for a honeymoon

 

 We decided to renew our vows

by making matching rings out of a nut

































Then we returned to our own little hut
but how can any honeymoon be complete
without chocolate (Chucky Monkey)



Away to town we flew...OOPS No town, No Chucky Monkey,
No Chocolate, just  cacao seeds drying on the side of the road



We gathered some up, then they were roasted



shelled



ground



cooked




milk and sugar added




and waa-laa Chucky Monkey
minus the walnuts and ice cream

Now doesn't Arasha sound like a perfect 2nd Honeymoon??
