And we made it........ Oh NO...and now we have to go down!!

We decided to go all the way to the top

After doing some small hikes in the park, we decided to do a big one...ANGEL'S LANDING

The trail was really fun--water, great scenery, lots of ups and downs

Then the trail popped out in front of a great Restaurant and we were hungry

The U. S. mail was delivered to residents in the upper Virgin River by a pulley system which let the mail down a 300 foot ledge, saving a horseback rider a full days time.

It was a day we didn't want to end

UTAH TRIP for ATVing and Visiting National Parks

What a great opportunity to spend quality time together. Of course, we have always had quality time together

We found lots of great trails to ride

Our first Park to visit was Zions. It was wonderful. The weather perfect. Nice and cool for lots of hiking

Visited the St. George tabernacle, a beautiful old building which is still used for church meetings

While we were in St. George we visited our old Bishop, Jim Bray. I worked with him as Relief Society President while living in LaHabra, California

Our first stop was in St. George, Utah where we visited church sites and old friends

We left McCall hauling our ATV's, April 27, 2007, bought a large cooler at Costco in Boise and headed to Utah with NO PLANS except to visit the National Parks and do a lot of ATVing. Our only obligation was to meet the Moores and the Burlingames in late May.

Home Church??

For many months we were never late for Church. 

 Why?  Because it was in our Home.

In June of 2008 our ward building was closed for
some remodeling which was to take about six weeks.
It was approved to have our meetings in various homes
and ours was one of those homes

 

If you'll notice out the window, it definately looks like Spring



Can you tell from the same window, what time of the year
it is now?  December 21, 2008 right before Christmas
The remodel job took somewhat longer than the six weeks!!



Our hot tub, even became the baptismal font.



Quick Release and Closure to Our Mission for Birth of 18th Grandchild

One week before our release date, we received a call from Lance
saying that Cynthia had fallen at the park and was in the
hospital.  The doctors told them because of some internal
injuries to Cynthia they were going to induce the baby.

We arrived at the hospital 45 minutes before
Sierra McCall was born

She was completely healthy

Wyoming Skies and Snakes

Martin's Cove is located in the middle of No Where and to say it's sagebrush, constant wind, scalding hot summers and extreme cold winters is appealing, would be a exaggeration.  But you can say with NO doubt their skies are beyond beautiful and hard for the camera to capture, but here are some tries.
